Why this conference exists

Most GP conferences are built around exhibitor halls and sponsored content. You leave with a tote bag full of brochures and not much else.

GSD is the opposite. You get a download link to our policies. And not much else — because that’s the point.

One day. Two GP Partners still working in practice. Sessions on the things that actually move the dial in a partnership — enhanced services, money, triage, AI, and an honest look at Medicus. No sponsored talks. No vendor pitches on stage. No exhibitors in the corridor. No goody bags. Just what we’d tell another Partner over a coffee, said in public.

If you’ve ever sat through a conference thinking “I could be in surgery making more difference than this” — GSD is the answer to that.

2026 is the year a lot of decisions land in your lap. The cost of a wrong call this year is higher than the cost of the ticket.

Why now?

Contracts are tightening. Enhanced services are being rewritten. AI is moving faster than most Partners can keep up with — and the ones who don’t make a decision in the next six months will be the ones forced into a worse one in twelve. Medicus and similar deals are being signed across the country, often without Partners knowing what to ask. That’s why now.

What you’ll take home

Tangible things, not vibes:

  • A download link to our policy and SOP folder — the same one we use in our own practices.
  • A CPD certificate for your appraisal folder.
  • A clear plan for at least one significant financial change you can implement next week.
  • Triage like a pro — the no-bullshit version of what they won’t say at a sponsored event.
  • An honest view on AI in general practice — what’s worth your time, what isn’t, and how to spot the difference.
  • A straight answer on Medicus from a Partner using it, not a vendor selling it.
  • A room full of other GP Partners with the same problems as you. The corridor conversations are half the point.

Who it’s for

GP Partners. That’s it.

Current Partners and brand-new Partners.

Not for: salaried GPs, registrars, practice managers, exhibitors, or industry. We’re keeping the room deliberate by design — the conversations only work if everyone in it is wrestling with the same problems.

Frequently asked questions

Why £300?

Because that’s what it costs to run a no-sponsor, no-exhibitor day at a serious venue in central London, give every delegate a copy of our policy folder, and not water down the content. We could have made it cheaper with sponsors. We chose not to.

Why no exhibitors, sponsors, or tote bags?

Because the moment you bring any of that in, the day starts shaping itself around them. We wanted one year of straight-talking content. Just us, the speakers we trust, and the room.

Why isn’t it recorded?

Two reasons. First, the conversations only happen if people know they’re in a room of Partners, not on YouTube. Second, the value is in being there — the corridor, the lunch, the dinner.

Will I get a CPD certificate?

Yes. A CPD certificate is included.

What if I can’t make it?

Tickets are transferable to another GP Partner up to 6 weeks before the event. After that, non-refundable. See booking terms for full detail.

How do I get there?

30 Euston Square is two minutes from Euston station. We strongly recommend train.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes. 30 Euston Square offers step-free access throughout, with a step-free entrance on Euston Road. Hearing induction loops are available in the main spaces. Guide and assistance dogs are welcome. If you have specific access requirements — mobility, hearing, visual, dietary, or anything else — let us know when you book and we’ll make sure the day works for you. For step-free travel, Euston Square station (Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan lines, westbound) is closest; King’s Cross St Pancras is the nearest fully step-free interchange.

Will there be another one?

Hopefully. But the format will evolve. If you want this version of GSD, this is the year.

Is this affiliated with the RCGP?

No. GSD: The GP Partners Conference is independently organised. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) or any other professional body. The CPD certificate is issued by the conference organisers based on attendance and content delivered.
